The last few years have been an incredibly tumultuous journey — through diagnoses, and through learning how to heal. I was thrown from specialist to specialist, test after test, medication after medication, until I had enough. Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, hypermobility spectrum disorder, anxiety, OCD, ADHD — the list goes on, and honestly I could write a whole book on my symptoms alone. In 2023, my resting heart rate climbed as high as 130 bpm. I went years with little to no sleep and no relief. By 2024, things were bleak — my tests were inconclusive, no one knew what to do with me, and I spent most of that year bedridden.
So I kept looking for another way, and the holistic route is what finally worked. I met some beautiful souls along the way who helped carry me toward becoming a practitioner myself — I wouldn't be here without them. At the end of 2024 and into 2025, things turned around when I started working with Hands On Health here in New Orleans. I'm fortunate to also work independently alongside that role, and I'm endlessly grateful to have made the transition from patient to healthcare worker.
